Sanjay Thumma popularly known as Vahchef, is a widely followed and admired Indian Chef and Entrepreneur. Graduated from The Indian Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, Hyderabad, Sanjay started his career in the culinary industry with ITC Hotels at Delhi, Chennai, Agra, Baroda and Jaipur. He shifted base to Chicago in 1998 and established his own restaurant ‘Sizzle India.’ In a short span of 7 years, he expanded his chain of restaurants to four. Thereafter Sanjay launched his own food website www.vahrehvah.com and moved back to India. His most popular culinary videos on YouTube garnered over 300 million viewers across the world and was honored by the channel for Lifetime views.
He has judged several TV cooking shows and live events in India and abroad. He is associated with leading brands including ITC-Bingo Chips, Tata Salt, Naturralle Sunflower Oil, Philips Airfryer as a Brand Ambassador. He also won the prestigious Gold Medal in All-India Competition for Culinary Arts for his delicious and innovative recipes. He has recently been assigned as Culinary Ambassador for The Indian Federation of Culinary Associations, IFCA India.
Vikram Simha started his career with ITC Hotels in July 1992 and played a key role in setting up of Peshawri, ITC Kakatiya, Hyderabad. During his stint with ITC, he was sponsored to numerous overseas assignments as an ambassador to promote Indian cuisine. He has been a part of and also attended several master chefs’ conclaves organized by ITC hotels.In 2003, Chef Vikram joined BJN Hotels, Bangalore, a fine dining restaurant chain, where he started operations at 12 premium restaurants in a mere 48 months. The successful launch of five restaurants from which one is at Citi Center, Hyderabad, added another feather to his chef’s hat. Ohri’s, Hyderabad’s leading specialty restaurants chain in Hyderabad, won him over in 2008 during which year he was instrumental in establishing over 10 restaurants.
Vikram has excelled in company sponsored developmental programs and passed two courses with Honors grade from the Royal Institute of Public Hygiene, England. He was honored as ‘The Young Chef of the Year 2003’ by the prestigious FHARI (Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Association of India). He earned the ‘IFCA Smart Chef 2012’ recognition from the most prestigious Indian Federation of Culinary Associations at a chef’s conclave in Bangalore.
